Garden of Sun Hotel

I don't understand the pattern of reviews on TripAdvisor as my son & I only spoke to one couple during our whole 10 night stay with anything positive to say about this hotel & their experience, no one else said they would ever return. It was disgusting! If you don't want to read my full review I will simply state that this is certainly NOT A 5 STAR RESORT as advertised. At most I would rate it a 2! Other than a beautiful swimming pool the whole place is dated, dirty, poorly maintained, falsely advertised & represented & extremely poorly managed. GO ELSEWHERE. There are far better places to stay closer to, or actually in Didim main beach area where there is plenty to do.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, each room in the hotel has different stone look calved pictures which are gorgeous and unique, reception staff are really friendly and welcoming even took our suitcase to one side for us to save us pulling it around as we arrived. The chefs are lovely friendly people and make beautiful food with a variety of choice every night, me and my partner have definitely gained some weight going back for more of the food. Although it is all inclusive to grab your own drinks etc staff always ask you if you’d like them to grab a drink for you and are very well mannered. When it’s really hot outside they do have the doors closed and a member of staff waiting at the door for anyone who may wish to leave or enter so there is ( Not ) flies or bugs entering the restaurant and each item of food presented has its own tongue, labeled and presented with such care. They have a bbq section outside the restaurant and the meat is absolutely gorgeous absolutely everything is dealt with care and passion, the snack bar is open hours after dinner and before tea serving food like beef,chicken and vegetable burgers with chips, pizza, garlic bread, pasta, salads etc and the drinks bar outside next to the pool has exceptional cocktails. The lager is lovely and cold, perfect for the heat outside and you have access to tea and coffee at all times which is brilliant and I love how often you see them clean the coffee machines too. Cleaners do a wonderful job, leave fresh water bottles for you to put in your fridge, fresh bedding, towels and toilet roll every day, sweep floors and wipe surfaces. Staff member named Charlie advised everyone on their first day that he is always there to help with anything and informs everyone of all the boat trips visiting local islands, buggy and quad hire etc, really well mannered and really helpful. Hotel Photographer took mine and my partners photos which we did end up buying because they’re were brilliant, one of the best photographers we’ve ever had take our photos they’re so clear and so focused definitely having them framed. Security always around which is great really friendly but always watching cameras and who’s entering the hotel which is what we need our safety and wellbeing is definitely put first. Entertainment staff Rico and Dodo wonderful people they are perfect at their job always including as many people as possible for darts or water polo etc they know how to have a laugh and make so much effort for each and every single person, really hoping they still work there when we go back again later this year they deserve a medal, really really friendly lovely people.

We recently stayed at The Garden of Sun in Didim Turkey, booking an all-inclusive package via Love Holidays with flights through Easyjet (which was good). Unfortunately the hotel was far below expectations and definitely not 5-star quality-more like under 3 star. There were 6 of us in three standard rooms, one of which (A117) was in poor condition with a leaking shower, damp & mould (photos attached). Despite raising this, we weren’t moved due to “no availability”. The bed linen and towels were old and not up to standard, and room cleaning was inconsistent with bedsheets never changed. The food options were extremely limited for vegetarians-mainly repetitive boiled vegetables, chips, pasta & salad. Food was cold. Desserts were also disappointing, and we were told non were vegetarian. We asked for these- three days later staff came out with 2 desserts for 6 people!! I was livid, having waited three days for a desert! They then magically brought out 3 more desserts. My son has a Nut & Sesame seed allergy. Before having the dessert we asked them what it was made off, they said Almond milk, despite us informing them of his allergies and filling out a form on arrival!!! The staff clearly do not understand and pretend to do so! Food hygiene was very poor, with flies constantly around food. Communication with staff was difficult due to limited English, and their responses often felt scripted. - “we are so sorry…we understand how you feel”. At the La Carte dinner, we again faced a serious allergy issue, the main meal was vegetarian Pizza, which was made with Pesto sauce. My son was about to eat it when I noticed the pesto! I asked about it and was told both yes ut contains nuts, and no it doesn’t!? I could not risk my son eating it and so asked for another pizza without pesto sauce on it. I don’t think they understand how serious this matter is & my son could end up in hospital or even die. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. It lacks proper hygiene, food safety, customer service, and definitely doesn’t meet a 5-star standard.

Writing this a travel agent who booked this property for my clients last month. 5* rating is incorrect. Prior to the trip I contacted the hotel direct to ask for a welcome note in the room plus I wanted to purchase a gift for their arrival, zero response to any contact. Following my customers return they provided their feedback and I've since contacted multiple times to raise complaints and again had zero response. My client booked and paid for a sea view room, all they could see was a tree. The room was cleaned once in the 5 days there, had to ask house keeping for my toilet roll & fresh towels. No milk in the room with the rest of the tea/coffee in room and the choice and quality of food very disappointing. This is not the service you expect from a 5* hotel. Will not be recommending to any future clients.

Fantastic hotel! The food was delicious, activities were fun for all ages, and the staff and hosts were so warm, welcoming and attentive. Entertainment each night was brilliant—fun, engaging, and full of energy.

Excellent experience would highly recommend - loved everything about it - food was fabulous - great experience- I had such a fabulous time at the hotel it was really good - and the weather was great I loved it all - the table tennis was the best because I’m the best
